If you love working with your hands, being creative and working with members of the public, a course in painting and decorating is perfect for you.

At East Durham College, our painting and decorating courses are designed to provide you with a broad range of knowledge and understanding, as well as the skills you'll need to become fully qualified as a painter and decorator. The aim at the end of your training is for you to become qualified as a painter and/or decorator with you being confident enough in your skills and abilities to provide P&D services to the wider public.

Painting and decorating is taught at our Peterlee campus. The college's construction facility has a dedicated facility for painting and decorating, with a huge workshop offering some of the best facilities in the region, including large training bays, all the tools you'll need and painting/decorating materials. You'll have access to classrooms and computer facilities for the knowledge aspects of the course, as well as access to our fantastic facilities around the college including our cafeteria, a pool table (found in the painting and decorating workshop) and our free gym.
