East Durham College have just announced that they will be offering businesses and organisations in the region opportunities to advertising their products and services at their Peterlee and Houghall Campuses.
The College are offering long term advertising sites at their refectory and around the 3G all-weather pitch, as well as shorter term advertising slides on TV screens in the reception area of the main Peterlee Campus and Sports Centre.
The first business to take advantage of the new media channel is Spec Savers.
Eric Thompson, who is Managing Director of branches of the opticians in Peterlee and Seaham, said: “We have special discounts on offer for students and this is a great way to run some highly targeting advertising reach one of our core audiences. It will also be seen by staff and lots of other people visiting the college so is a perfect way for us to raise general awareness too.”
Alistair Cummins-MacLeod, Marketing Manager at the College, added: “We are delighted that a client as high profile as Spec Savers has been the first business to book one of our new advertising spaces.
“The different advertising spaces available can offer great brand awareness or the ability to run more tactical short term messages. We believe the advertising provides businesses with great targeting and is very cost effective, as well as providing us with extra funding to put back into the service we offer our students.
