Earlier this week students on the Prince’s Trust Team Programme, being run for the first time at East Durham College, braved the cold February weather to wash dozens of cars to raise money for a community project.

The team raised £140, over 2 days, washing cars at the College’s Houghall Campus. The money raised will go towards materials and plants to repair and improve a small a community garden.

The Prince’s Trust Team programme is an exciting free personal development programme for unemployed young people aged 16-25 years. The programme is specially designed to help them to decide on their futures.

The next programme starts in May so if you’d like more details please call Student Services for more details on 0191 375 4710.
