Samuel Selected For May Student Award

Animal Studies student Samuel Handy has been selected as the course’s Student of the Month for May.

Samuel received the award along with 10 others in a ceremony in the College’s Scene 1 restaurant on Monday evening.

Animal studies lecturer John Walshaw praised Samuel for his enthusiasm and commitment towards Animal Studies.

John said: “Sam always displays enthusiasm for the work and he has demonstrated commitment in both theory and practical aspects of the course and has completed a successful work placement for Easter at Team Reptiles in Gateshead.

“Sam is a very dedicated student and has settled in extremely well on this course.

“Sam has really come out of his shell in the face of adversity and is making a really positive contribution to the course and is a credit to the college.”
