East Durham College is welcoming discussions from businesses about sponsorship opportunities at its redeveloped Houghall campus in Durham.
The campus, which is the only provider of land based education courses in County Durham, is currently undergoing a £12 million pound redevelopment.
The college attracts students from as far as Newcastle, Blaydon, Teesside and Northallerton to study on courses in animal care, dog grooming, agriculture, arboriculture, equine, floristry, conservation and countryside management.
Work to the campus will see the main buildings redeveloped along with a brand new animal care centre, featuring dog grooming unit and dog agility area, a new indoor equine arena, and new agricultural buildings.
Work at the site is going well, and on course to be ready in time for the new academic year beginning in September 2016.
Jim Blower, Director of Estates, Services and Resources at East Durham College, is delighted with how well the building work is going and is excited to open up discussions on sponsorship opportunities at the site.
Jim said: “This is a very exciting time at East Durham College, and especially for the Houghall campus.
“Work is running smoothly and is on course to be completed on time to welcome our new cohort of students in the next academic year.
“The upgrade to the site is really impressive, and the first real redevelopment work to be done to Houghall since it was built in 1938.
“With so many different areas and courses at Houghall we are open to sponsorship ideas on many levels, from full naming rights of different areas to having hundreds of students working daily with your company’s products, we are open to discussions on any level.
“This is a great opportunity for companies to be a part of helping the future of land based teaching in County Durham continue to grow.”
