Students and staff at East Durham College have done their bit for the recent Children in Need Appeal by raising over £500!

The students at the College’s campuses in Peterlee and Durham took part in a range of events to raise money for this year’s BBC Children in Need.

Students from a wide range of course areas including care, foundation, performing arts, hair, animal care and equine ran a number of different fund raising activities – such as cake sales, face painting, guess the sweets, penny for Pudsey, sponsored leg waxing, raffles, dressing up in pyjamas and much more.

Nora Gregory, Student Welfare & Guidance Manager, said: “We were delighted with the students’ efforts and very proud of their achievements with a fantastic sum of money raised for a very worthy cause.”
