Technical Academy Hosts Trade Exhibition

The Technical Academy in Peterlee, a leading training provider in the region for construction skills, recently held a special trade exhibition event.
A range of construction and building services companies took part in the exhibition to demonstrate their latest product innovations.
Over 30 companies exhibited including the likes of BAL Adhesives, Ceramic Tile Distributors (CTD), Edmundson Electricals, Genesis, Howdens Joinery, Plumb Centre, Rubi, Seaward, Speedfit, Weber and Wedi.
Rob Hutchinson, Education Manager at the Academy, explained: “The aim of this event was to give our students an amazing opportunity to learn about some of the latest products, techniques and building methods being used in the industry.
“These type of events are invaluable, they really help to enhance the learners training and raise their aspirations.”
The Technical Academy is run by East Durham College and is located in a 30,000 sq. ft. purpose-build facility on Peterlee’s South West Industrial Estate. The Academy offers training in a range of construction trades including plastering, tiling, gas, electric and fitted interiors.
