A leading figure in the north east hairdressing scene visited a local college to give a demonstration of the latest trends, cuts and styles in the industry.

TONI&GUY’s Jen Deighton visited East Durham College, in Peterlee, to demonstrate the hairdressing giant’s latest collection of creative cuts and new colours from their new collection, Artelier.

Jen, who runs the highly successful TONI&GUY salon in Sunderland, is a leading player in the industry and has been a five times finalist at the British Hairdressing Awards, North East Finals.

Jen said: “It’s great to be able to come out and put on these classes at the College so we can pass on our expertise and show people how the industry has changed and progressed in the last year.

“And it’s great to see all the familiar faces again at the College. It is a real pleasure to help inspire local salons and to know that the staff at the College will pass on the skills to students, helping them to gain employment in the industry.”

The masterclass session included the techniques of creating styles and the blending of colours and how they can be adapted to salon use with professional results.
